Gordon Manning is a skilled carpenter who was clever enough to spot an opportunity when Ryde's famous pier was rebuilt.
He bought a quantity of the wood - much of which dates back to 1813 when the pier was originally constructed - and used this slice of history to create a simple, stylish and affordable range of household products.
