The Island Shop
The Made on the Isle of Wight shop (on Bullen Road, between Seaview and Ryde) is the only place on the Island that is dedicated exclusively to selling products that were grown, made or manufactured here. It is a mini-department store in which absolutely everything - from fresh and frozen food to oil paintings - has its origins on this Island.
If you are interested in the provenance of your food, this is the place for you. Nothing we sell has travelled more than 21.5 miles to reach us - even the succulent Dunsbury Lamb which comes each Saturday from the opposite end of the Island. In addition to meat and poultry, we have locally made jams, pickles and preserves, wicked pies, puddings and pastries, award winning cheeses, free-range eggs and fruit and vegetables which often come fresh from local allotments. We stock confectionery, beers, wines and cider too.
If you are inclined to seek out the individual, the well made, the original or unique then you will like it here. Artisans flourish on the Island and we have found people working in every medium you can imagine, as well as artists, writers and photographers all striving to capture the romance of the place. We stock the work of more than 200 of them and whether you come with £5 or £500 in your pocket, you will find something that tickles your fancy.
The Made on the Isle of Wight Shop incorporates the Two Ticks Tea Room - a cosy corner round our wood burning stove in winter and a garden with a glorious view in summer. You can treat yourself to a choice of Island-made cakes or a sinful cream tea all year round and there is also a small seasonal savoury menu.
If you would like to know what is fresh in today then call us on 01983 898813.
At Made on the Isle of Wight you can do all your shopping in Two Ticks!
